SOMALI COMMUNICATION WORKERS UNION 'SOCOWU' CONDEMNS UNJUST ACTIONS AGAINST ITS MEMBERS


 Somali Communication Workers Union (SOCOWU) Condemns Harassment of Members by National Intelligence and Security Agency.

In a press release issued yesterday, the Somali Communication Workers Union (SOCOWU) expressed strong condemnation for the unjust actions faced by its dedicated members within Hormuud Telecom Somalia. The union alleges that the National Intelligence and Security Agency, tasked with safeguarding citizens, has been implicated in harassing SOCOWU members, causing unwarranted suffering.


SOCOWU urgently appeals to government officials, urging them to release the unlawfully detained workers promptly. The union emphasizes the need for justice, worker's rights, and creating an environment free from persecution for citizens contributing to the nation's progress.


The union further implores the President of the Republic of Somalia and the Prime Minister to intervene decisively against those responsible for the harassment. SOCOWU stresses the importance of holding those accountable responsible for their actions and ensuring justice prevails.
